Sonya began teaching yoga in 2002, and has completed the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with teachers Barrie Risman and Robin Golt. She also holds several other certifications in fitness and pilates. She obtained a B.Sc. in Exercise Science from Concordia University, and has a strong understanding of bio-mechanics which she infuses into her classes. Sonya’s classes are dynamic, inspiring, uplifted and light hearted, as she joyfully shares the wisdom of yoga and the intelligent nature of the body. Sonya joyfully encourages her students to learn the wisdom and benefits of yoga, and to awaken to the enlightening beauty in their own hearts. More recently, she became a mother and has since been passionate to build yoga classes to support other mothers on their journey through pregnancy and post pregnancy.
